Il quartetto propone un repertorio formato da mie composizioni, che si ispirano liberamente al jazz modale, con un approccio armonico che ha le sue fondamenta nel celebre saggio di George Russell "The Lydian Chromatic Concept of Tonal Organization". Il risultato trova realizzazione in dieci brani in cui si alternano ritmi swing, tempi dispari ma anche più complessi, bossanova e qualche accenno funky. Il minimo comune denominatore di situazioni così varie ed eclettiche è rappresentato dallo stesso approccio armonico, con la presenza di aree modali all'interno delle composizioni, e dallo spazio lasciato all'improvvisazione.

The quartet performs a repertoire consisting entirely of original compositions of mine, freely inspired by modal jazz and rooted in a harmonic approach based on George Russell's landmark treatise "The Lydian Chromatic Concept of Tonal Organization". The result is ten pieces that alternate between swing rhythms, odd and more complex time signatures, bossa nova grooves, and occasional touches of funk. The common thread running through these varied and eclectic musical settings is the same harmonic approach, characterized by modal areas in the compositions and by the ample room left for improvisation.
