Dopo il grande ed inaspettato successo di «Trip with the Lady» (2021) – stampato in tiratura limitata
e da tempo introvabile – Maurizio Brunod non si è fermato e ha intrapreso un nuovo viaggio
accompagnato da altre meravigliose “ladies” (non una, ma ben quattro chitarre acustiche preparate
dai liutai Mirko Borghino e Aldo Illotta), che gli hanno offerto la possibilità di dar vita a nuove e
suggestive sonorità, in grado di regalarci altre intense emozioni. Il chitarrista piemontese, classe 1968,
è da almeno trent’anni fra gli esponenti di punta del jazz italiano ed ha pubblicato oltre cinquanta
album, fra cui sei di chitarra solo. In questo nuovo lavoro, come già nel precedente, Brunod ha
prestato grande attenzione alla qualità della registrazione e del mastering, rigorosamente
analogico, rinunciando al compact disc in favore dell’ellepì in vinile. Ora, dopo oltre un anno,
«Trip with the Ladies (Chapter 2)» è finalmente disponibile anche in formato digitale, sia in download
che in streaming.

After the great and unexpected success of «Trip with the Lady» (2021) – printed in limited edition and
not available for a long time – Maurizio Brunod didn’t stop and embarked on a new journey accompanied
by other marvellous “ladies” (not one, but four acoustic guitars prepared by luthiers Mirko Borghino
and Aldo Illotta), which allowed him to create new and evocative sounds, full of colourful emotions.
The Piedmontese guitarist, born in 1968, has been one of the leading exponents of Italian jazz for at
least thirty years and has released over fifty albums, including six solo guitar. In this new work, as in
the previous one, Brunod paid great attention to the quality of the recording and mastering,
strictly analogue, choosing vinyl record over compact disc. More than a year later, «Trip with the
Ladies (Chapter 2)» is finally available also in digital format, for both online streaming and downloading.
